Case Discussion – Opsens
This event brought together two leading physicians to discuss management strategies for an interesting case of complex PCI of a STEMI patient with multi-vessel disease. An informative case presentation set the scene for discussion between faculty, before a Q&A session with a live global audience. Adding to the interaction of the programme, lives polls were held through, with results revealed to an engaged audience towards the end of the programme.
This webinar was developed by a collaboration between Boston Scientific, the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) and supported by Millbrook Medical Conferences and Radcliffe Cardiology. It brings together leading physicians from China and the UK with the aim to share knowledge, experience and learnings of the COVID-19 pandemic, including in-depth discussion regarding its characteristics, and management for its prevention and control.
- Understand the approaches taken for infection management in China.
- Compare and contrast strategies for management in both the wider population and in a clinical setting.
- To enhance knowledge of treatment strategies and options available.
Radcliffe Cardiology have teamed up with Dr Ankur Kalra, (Interventional Cardiologist, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH) to produce a regular Podcast, Parallax. It features conversations with legendary cardiologists, critical reviews of key congresses and late-breaking trials, and concise summaries of the best US Cardiology Review articles (we call them #AudioArticles).
Recorded and edited remotely, it can include conversations between physicians from all over the Globe. We can also add in commentary and soundbites from our virtual editing studio as well as produce live video recordings for special episodes.

We were scheduled to manage a CME-accredited symposium at a leading heart rhythm congress. Following the widespread cancellation of congresses globally, we reimaged the event as a virtual symposium, streamed live through www.radcliffecardiology.com. Comprising presentations from a global faculty, a case video, a practitioner interview, and engaging discussion throughout – and underpinned by a comprehensive pre-event marketing campaign – the live event attracted global attendee numbers far exceeding those typically confined by a traditional symposium room. CME certification was administered through the web platform, ensuring valued, high-quality learning for attendees. The programme was subsequently chapterised and published, increasing accessibility and best supporting learning for on-demand viewers.
We were approached by a client to deliver a two-hour symposium, to inform an international audience of the challenges of cardiac rhythm management against the backdrop of COVID-19. This intricate live streamed programme set the challenge of bringing together 12 opinion leaders from ten cities across eight countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and comprised a multitude of slide presentations, peer-to-peer Q&As, and larger multi-faculty panel discussions.
The result was an engaging, dynamic and visually rich two hours of learning – with over 1000 live attendees driven by a comprehensive email and social media marketing campaign, followed by the publication of an on-demand version to ensure its enduring value as an educational resource.
